Brighton Park Neighborhood Council Trauma Focus Group

Trauma occurs when a person perceives an event or set of circumstances as extremely frightening, harmful, or threatening—either emotionally, physically, or both. Such events can include domestic violence, an accident, witnessing community violence, emotional abuse, and even immigrating to a new country.

The Brighton Park Neighborhood Council is planning to build a Trauma Recovery Center. They are looking for Chinese people, 16-years-old and older, who have experienced a trauma to complete a survey as a way to find those who qualify to participate in a focus group.  People chosen for the focus group will be compensated monetarily.

If you are interested, please respond by Friday, June 5 to Jolene Zhong at [email protected]

The interview will be conducted in Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and English.
