MAHA's CMHC Overview
Midwest Asian Health Association's Community Mental Health Clinic was established in 2015 with the vision to provide linguistically appropriate, culturally sensitive, and financially affordable mental health services to underserved Asian, Asian American & Pacific Islander, and Asian immigrant populations in the Chicagoland area. The counselors and staff at MAHA CMHC are dedicated to creating a Chicago Chinatown community in which all people, regardless of language or ability to pay, will be able to access mental health services to improve their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Our staff of licensed mental health professionals are able to provide services in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, and are experienced working with youth, adolescents, adults, and elders. Services include:
- Individual therapy
- Couples therapy
- Family therapy
- School consultations
- Community support
- Mental health seminars
Clients reach out to us for therapy to discuss topics such as family or marital conflicts, traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, acculturation difficulties, and stress management.
Our services are covered by Medicaid, Medicaid MCOs, and the option of self-pay sliding scale fees. Please contact us with any questions!
