Weiqi Zhong, MSW
Weiqi is dedicated to helping teenagers navigate emotional struggles, particularly those stemming from academic pressure, social challenges, and family dynamics. Her enthusiasm for supporting young people drives her commitment to providing a safe and empathetic space where they can explore their feelings and develop resilience. Through her work, Weiqi aims to empower adolescents to understand their emotions and build the skills needed to thrive despite life’s challenges.
Weiqi holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago, where she deepened her knowledge of mental health practices and social work. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, building a strong foundation in psychological principles and research.
Throughout her professional journey, Weiqi has gained valuable clinical experience through her internship at Xiamen Xianyue Hospital in China. This experience enabled her to work closely with adolescents and families from diverse backgrounds, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges. Weiqi has developed expertise in managing complex issues that affect young people and their families, becoming skilled at promoting healthier relationships and emotional growth. In her therapeutic practice, she utilizes evidence-based modalities such as client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support her clients in making meaningful changes and enhancing their emotional well-being.
