Ailin Chang, L.S.W.


Ailin Chang is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a Mental Health Counselor at MAHA. She earned her Master’s in Social Work at Loyola University of Chicago (2018-2020) with a specialization in Children and Family and a sub-specialization in Mental Health. She has her double Bachelor’s in Sociology and Social and Human Services from the University of Evansville (2013-2017).

Ailin was born and raised in China but has lived in the U.S. for 11 years and developed multicultural sensitivity. Ailin is experienced in case management, customer services, senior support services, housing solutions, and leading interdisciplinary group consultations. She loves being able to provide more opportunities for the elderly and help them live independently and with dignity. Prior to joining MAHA, Ailin worked in hospice care, where she was responsible for managing patients’ care plans and offering psychosocial assessments and support through home visits.

Ailin has worked with diverse families with challenges related to grief and loss, stress, anxiety, and depression. Her experiences have allowed her to effectively address their needs and provide emotional support. In addition to working in the mental health field, Ailin is passionate about serving Asian-American communities and making mental health care more accessible to them. She has facilitated a wide array of mental health workshops and support group series, on topics like mindfulness, stress management, suicide and bullying prevention, art response, self-care, and family and social skills. In her spare time, Ailin enjoys playing with her baby girl and two dogs, watching movies, grocery shopping and dining out, boxing exercise, and baking.
