MAHA's Community Mental Health Clinic Overview
The Midwest Asian Health Association's Community Mental Health Clinic was established in 2015 with the vision to provide linguistically appropriate, culturally sensitive, and financially affordable mental health services to underserved Asian, Asian American & Pacific Islander, and Asian immigrant populations in the Chicagoland area. The counselors and staff at the CMHC are dedicated to creating a Chicago Chinatown community in which all people, regardless of language or ability to pay, will be able to access mental health services to improve their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Our staff of licensed mental health professionals are able to provide services in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and English, and are experienced working with youth, adolescents, adults, and elders. We offer individual therapy, family therapy, school consultations, and mental health seminars. Clients reach out to us for therapy to discuss topics such as family or marital conflicts, traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, acculturation difficulties, stress management, and other concerns.
Our services are covered by Medicaid, Medicaid MCOs (Aetna Better Health, Blue Cross Community Health Plan, Meridian, and Molina), County Care, and other private insurances. We also have the option of self-pay sliding scale fees. Contact the office if you have any question.
