MAHA Community Health Center Overview
MAHA’s Community Health Center provides health education, comprehensive chemistry testing, annual checkup, immunization, and patient care/referral to the residents who have language and cultural barriers to preventive health care. MAHA is the primary health resource that provides culturally sensitive and language appropriate health services to the medically underserved population in the south side of Chicago. The health screenings include hepatitis B, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol level, kidney function, liver function, thyroid, H. Pylori, osteoporosis, and other blood indicators. The screening is provided every last Saturday of each month at MAHA (218 W. 26th St, Chicago, IL 60616), followed by a free medical consultation session two weeks after the screening. Patients are invited to bring their lab reports to MAHA for report review and medical counselling. Patients are referral to other medical facilities for follow up care if necessary.
